Miner carriers ai losing all its fighters

i have been using carrier miners with R-miner fighters since i got the resources to make them and boost my resource gain with them even further 

but for some reason the AI goes around as supposed and mines as supposed while iam not present out of sector the whole time until suddenly 

''nothing to refine'' and ''you need mining laser/fighter to mine'' messages spam because my mining carrier yeeted all the mining fighers without ever having been command or attacked at any time 

all it had been doing was loop a jump, mine and refine between 2-5 sectors depending on placement of 1000+ asteroid sectors and resource depot to refine 

i dislike being forced to build in an assembly nor to manually reload it with fighters each time from my factory mass producing them so yea.......i have alternatives but they are costly and time wasting for no real reason
