rework of integrity field generators

motorbit

Suggestion

integrity field generators are neccesary to make small blocks viable. they do a pretty good job, but there is one problem left:

because of colision damage reduction, larger sections of armor are still much better then smaller armor sections.

this is a huge deal, because armor is where the blocks are needed most: an angled shape can be buil much lighter from smaller blocks if only the outer hull is build and the inside is left empty. this is irrelevant for most funktional blocks, but very important for the outer hull.

i suggest to change the integrity field generators. instead of just increasing the break threshold for blocks in its reach, it was much better if it would  connect all blocks of the same type in its reach to one single block for the purpose of hp and damage reduction purposes.

a break threshold multiplier then could be still neccesary - this would be an issue of balancing and i could not possibly come up with the adequate value wihout testings i cant do on my own.

It seems unnecessary, as collision damage reduction is a very particular and largely irrelevant figure, that appears to relate to block's own resistance to collision. It's not like Avorion spaceships actively employ ramming, so I don't think we need to change anything about IFG for that negligible interaction. If you do want to build a ramming ship, then the use of larger blocks for the ship's bow comes naturally.
