Server Crash, no singleplayer game possible (Steam)

Hey,

 

I just bought Avorion via Steam and can't start a singleplayer game. It always fails with the following message:

"Connection to 127.0.0.1:27000 failed: Server unreachable"

 

I disabled my firewall, but it did not help.

 

Windows 7, latest Steam-Version, Avorion v0.10.1 r7302.

The client identifies to the server with your SteamID, so your name doesn't matter. That name issue is actually a bug in the UI, and will be fixed with the next patch. The server prints a message when it receives the first packet from the client. Does the server show up in you LAN Multiplayer window when you host a dedicated server?

I can't even start a dedicated server. I click "start", it displays "starting server..." and goes to "no server running" after a few seconds.

Something is definitely blocking packets here. Please double check all these: Either your firewall, windows defender, virus scanner, anything. Do you have a special network card or are you using the one integrated into the motherboard?

windows firewall: checked, upd and tcp ports opened, Avorion permitted

windows defender: inactive

avira virus scanner: deactivated, no change

special network card: yes, Avorion and AvorionServer permitted and set to highest priority

 

nothing else listening on port 27000, so it's not blocked

I tried joining 149.202.65.190:24000 and got no server response

Well, since Steam denied my refund because I had the game started for more than 2 hours (but without playing any minute...) I tried everything again.

Now it freezes whenever I try to join an online server.

Starting single player games still fails like it did before.

Dass du nicht mehr refunden kannst, tut mir leid. Wir werden bald den Server und den Client für den "normalen" Gebrauch verschmelzen, dann sollte dieses spezielle Problem nicht mehr auftauchen. Hast du eventuell den AvorionServer.exe geblockt als da ein Windows-Fenster aufgeploppt ist?

 

Logfile sagt: "Es konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt werden, da der Zielcomputer die Verbindung verweigerte"

 

Das bedeutet, dass irgendwo eine dritte Instanz mit reinspielt. Auf deinem Rechner ist irgendein Programm, das Pakete umleitet oder blockt. Normalerweise sollte die Verbindung zum localhost kein Problem sein.

 

Schau, dass AvorionServer.exe nicht läuft, töte es notfalls mit dem Task Manager.

Dann starte einen dedizierten Server (laut deinen Logs müsste das gehen, beim letzten Mal wo es nicht ging, war der Port 27000 schon belegt, also lief entweder bereits ein AvorionServer oder etwas anderes sitzt auf dem Port).

 

Dann schau ob du den Server im LAN Beitreten Fenster siehst. Wenn nein, dann ist 100% irgendeine Art von Firewall am Start.

 

Wenn du ihn schon siehst, aber nicht verbinden kannst, dann poste bitte beide Logs, die vom Client und die vom Server.

 

Wir hatten für das Problem, das du hast schon die folgenden Ursachen:

- Virenscanner

- Router Firewall DE(!)aktiviert

- Router falsch konfiguriert (wobei das in deinem Fall egal sein sollte)

- Windows Firewall

- Weitere Firewall

- Externe, spezielle Netzwerkkarte die localhost nicht auf 127.0.0.1 mappt sondern irgendwas anderes esotherisches.

 

Ich hoffe, das hilft dir weiter.

Mach dir mal keine Gedanken, blöder als die Nicht-Rückerstattung finde ich es definitiv, das Spiel nicht spielen zu können. ;)

Ich werde in den nächsten Tagen noch einmal alles Schritt für Schritt abarbeiten und es auch einmal auf einem anderen PC probieren, dann finde ich den Übeltäter schon.

Ok so i'm having the same issue, can't really tell what you said (even google trad can't because of it's crappy traduction) but i'm willing to solve it because it gets pretty annoying.

So i tryed a few things, reinstalling the game messing around with the serv batch to create a server before the game launch...

Well i could connect to the server but my character got wiped...

I looked a bit into the saves and the Player_1.dat file got "reset" with 128kB worth of 0

 

we messed around on the discord, in the avoriongamehelp channel and a bit in the general... but we are already 4-5 to have the same issue there...

 

I restarted the computer, had the firewall and anti-virus turned completly off and even though it doesn't whant to work on some of my galaxies... i can create a galaxie and play in it, but since that's already the 4rth time i restart the game.... Also connecting on a server doesn't work in some cases, again can't really tell, but sometimes i can, sometimes i can't... that's really weird... i don't think that's really gonna help you by much if you whant me to try something, i'll try to be there

 

I know that finding and fixing a bug is the worst part of software making... I really hope that we can do somthing about this one
