Beta Branch Patchnotes: Fixes and small Updates

Date: January 16th, 2019

 

Beta Branch Note: These changes are currently available on the beta branch. The beta branch is for testing experimental changes and for finding and fixing errors.

 

This is how you get access to the beta branch (USE AT YOUR OWN RISK):

Right-Click on Avorion in your Steam list, Properties -> Betas -> Select branch 'beta'.

 

Gameplay

  • Attacking ships check for free line of sight before firing (considering allies)
  • Ships without a player automatically comply after the timeout when investigated by an anti-smuggle ship
  • Improved AI while chasing (again)

Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue in search and rescue mission
  • Small performance improvements
  • Fixed some scripts changing the player's relations even if interacting as an alliance
  • Fixed a cash in trading stations
  • [uBR] Alliances are now correctly handled in pirate/xsotan attacks and smuggler fight
  • Fixed a crash for objects that are being pushed away by stations

Gameplay

  • Attacking ships check for free line of sight before firing (considering allies)

Sounds like more ships are useful now  :)

BTW: Do independent-targeting turrets check for free line of sight now, too? I just don't want those big seeker-rockets to destroy allied ships again...

BTW: Do independent-targeting turrets check for free line of sight now, too? I just don't want those big seeker-rockets to destroy allied ships again...

 

Seeker rockets might still be trouble because they travel so slowly that an allied ship can easily wander into the line of fire after you have fired the rockets.
