Ethentianknight
I've been following beacons to operation exodus, but ran into a dead end. Beacon says "Operation Exodus: X: -473, Y: -439" actual sector is entirely empty. I've been following beacon to beacon, but there's nothing in the target sector. Dinosawer
I had the same happen, twice - wasn't sure if it was YX or XY so I went to both, but nothing in either sector.
Boxelware Team koonschi Posted October 29, 2016 Boxelware Team Share Posted October 29, 2016 Can you send me a log from when this happened? This shouldn't happen.
Dinosawer
I'll see if I can find it when I'm back home monday or so.
Ethentianknight
I'll post it tomorrow when i have the access. Should i just hit up the beacon and go to the sector, then post the log?
Boxelware Team koonschi Posted October 30, 2016 Boxelware Team Share Posted October 30, 2016 Try restarting it from the first sector you've found. It's imperative that it's the first one, basically the one that you have to put together from the beacons telling you one coordinate. Then, when the beacon is missing in a sector where it should be there, post the log.
Dinosawer
There are beacons with one coordinate? I've only ever found ones of "# number : X number" or "# number : Y number"
Boxelware Team koonschi Posted October 30, 2016 Boxelware Team Share Posted October 30, 2016 Maybe you haven't figured it out yet? ;) Post the beacons you find and the one where you go. And post the logs if you think there should've been something there.

Ethentianknight
Strangely enough, the original beacon spots have disappeared. I'll post an update next shot I get.
Dinosawer
Maybe you haven't figured it out yet? ;) And that's why I'm slow to file a bugreport about these things :V
Ethentianknight
Found new xy positions via beacons, tomorrow I'll load it up and hit the beacons one by one till i hit a dead end.
Dinosawer
I figured out how they work by now, but I can't check it cause the coordinates are inside the core, and I still haven't figured out how I get there. I assume it has something to do with the giant floating ring of asteroids with buildings on numbered I to VIII I found, which is presumably related to the legendary upgrades, but I don't have all 8 legendary upgrades nor any idea how to get the missing 5, and my ship isn't nearly large enough to have 8 upgrades anyway
Boxelware Team koonschi Posted November 2, 2016 Boxelware Team Share Posted November 2, 2016 Edit: Installed a spoiler extension. I didn't even realize that something this essential might be missing. I also edited your post to contain the spoiler tags, if that's alright. Try looking for beacons further away from the center. Try talking to NPC cargo haulers or traders at varying distances to the center of the galaxy.
Dinosawer
Okay, I'll try that. As a side note, the game could maybe use some more pointers related to getting to the core - I'm about 50 hours into this save and I'm still figuring it out. (Maybe I'm just really thick, though :V ) And the game teased me by giving me 2 avorion turrets I can't use cause I don't have any avorion... (I like the general "figure it out" structure though, games these days have to much handholding :) )
Dinosawer
As another aside, it would be nice if the game remembered the beacon messages you found in the "exodus" quest item, or if there was a note system that isn't tied to the map, in case I lose my notes in the clutter on my desk ;)
Ethentianknight
Thanks for the spoiler tags! Dino, i would suggest you create a spoiler thread specifically for getting to the center. While Koonschi may not give you the answer, you'll be able to consolidate everyone's findings in one thread.

douglasg14b
Same problem here :/ Empty final location, all that was there where some pirates... any known way to prevent this?
douglasg14b
Followed the advice in another thread to find where the beacons where: /run package.path = package.path .. ";data/scripts/lib/?.lua"; local OperationExodus = require("story/operationexodus"); local a, b, c, d = unpack(OperationExodus.getCornerPoints()); print (a.x, a.y); print (b.x, b.y); print (c.x, c.y); print (d.x, d.y); Finally jumped to the sector, and the sector would not load, and was just hung, I disconnected. When I try and reconnect it just says the server is unavailable after a minute or "connecting".... Others can still connect and play normally on the server. Logs say the following right when I went to jump: 2018-01-20 21-28-14| Authentication failed for user 76561198011400305.
