[INVALID] Steam beta wont start on Windows 10

Hi all!

 

I've an i7-2620M, 16G Ram and that's about it.

 

The demo worked flawless with all goodies enabled but the steam app wont even start. I tried looking for a log but didn't find any in the game folder/s.

 

So, any ideas?

Is there a game settings folder? It should be next to the demo's game settings  folder in your %appdata% folders. If there isn't one then the game didn't even start and the issue is probably with steam or a virus scanner.

 

Is your steam up to date? I've had issues where steam was not yet up to date and wouldn't even start the game.

 

Do you have a virus scanner? Avast is known to dislike avorion. If that is the case then add the avorion installation folder to your exceptions and tell steam to check and repair the game.

sorry for the late reply - work kept me busy heh.

 

Anyways, after some tinkering I've gotten it to start, turns out Suspend to harddisk is not a good thing...

 

Regardless, after it being able to start now, it just hangs at the loading. I suspect it being the intel hd graphics.

 

I'll retry on my desktop when I've more time.

 

For the time being, please close the thread and mark as `user's fault` ;)

No worries, great to hear it works - kinda. Please post the client logs here so I can have a look at them, this could save others some trouble, too!
