Hello,

        If the information about Dedicated Server specs is here some where I could not find it.  So I am asking if this old system of mine could run a Dedicated Server for about 5 players. The info is right from Steams system info;

Here is a page that helps you set up a dedicated server. I would suggest doing it this way instead of using the server.bat in your Avorion Steam folder.

If you want your server to be listed in steam, please use the dedicated server tool. Here you find a tutorial on how to set it up:

http://avorion.gamepedia.com/Setting_up_a_server

Even if you don't want to have it public, there is a way to stop it from doing so in the server settings.

RAM seems a little low though.

I'm currently running an Ubuntu 16.04 dedicated server in Hyper-V and see memory usage (for the VM) jump up to about 3GB quite often and I'm having some minor issues with lag. Unsure if that's due to bandwidth or something else.

But yeah, like posted before, just give it a go :)
