I have one singleplayer game going, and I join a friend's game sometimes. And Avorion is taking up a whole 350 GB of space on my PC @_@

One third of my computer's storage is being taken up by just this game...  :'(

Which director(ies) specifically? Appdata/roaming/avorion, steamapps/common/avorion, or both?

 

I'm asking mainly because I'd like to keep an eye on my own disk usage.

 

The upside here is that instead of wasting disk space on voiceovers and graphics, Avorion uses disk space for complex gameplay with a huge universe.

Its mainly adding up in the Appdata folder, as galaxies with a lot of explored sectors will create very big save files.

Found out the issue. There is some kind of bug that causes an endless error loop in my client logs. Hopefully it is being looked into now.

Moved to the bugs section. It would be probably very helpful if you could add the logs. If they are too long, its probably best to get the beginning of the log and a part starting a bit before the error and includes the error itself.

Can you please post the client log, or in case it is too big: An excerpt from the beginning, the first occurrence of the error and the last few lines? That would really help us in working out the error.

hmmm 350gig? I thought I'd check my own galaxy folder just to look.  mine is 7gig of just 6000 sector files.  doesn't seem related enough to investigate further.  but probably why the galaxy save I have has the map lag with fps shortages down to 25(from a default of 60+) and steadily fall with each warp down to about 6fps.
