Too few employees

Suggestion

I tryed to build a very large Ship or Station but it took too long to find enough employees. And the next problem is to transport them to a Station because to Transport many of them i need many of them for the Transporter.

 

First Suggestion is to raise the employee amount on Stations.

Second is to Create a passanger Modul that i can transport employees without officer.

Unassigned crewmembers don't need officers.  Though this doesn't work for specialized crew members.

 

they need to breed

 

New factory type: Viagra.

 

woud be nice if own Stations populate them self with crew ... also possible to populate civilians living on the station.

 

You can actually hire crew from stations you own.

Hello Developers,

 

may you read it or not, but i hope some others will feel the same and probably promote this "Issue".

 

I've spend hours and hours for getting the ressources and take several hours more to build my epic Ship to rule the entire Galaxy, i'm all flame and totally buffed to kick some asses and im going to get the . . . . . Crew?

 

Yes, i wanna get the Crew, but where do i find up to 500 - 1000 Mechanics and several dozens of Engineers?

 

Every Station just offers - if you're lucky - round about 15 - 20 Mechanics with a 1.5 Work, so you'll need up to 334 or if you go for the Workforce of 2.5 you'll "just" need 200 and fill the rest up with Crewmans because their cheep and after the Mechanics are leveled you can just drop them.

 

My Suggestions to this Topic would be a relative to your Ship Crew need, offers from the Stations, so you wouldnt empty all Stations of the next several Sectors, its just pain in the Ass for the one who needs them and for those who cant get far and wouldnt get any 'cause there are none.

 

I hope to here your Opinions about that, and if there is anything like this is already planned.

A simple solution for this and one that will allow for immersive game play would be to let the Ship Building Stations handle the work.

 

When you go to a station that you can purchase ships there is an option to provide crew. Why not make it so that any ship you currently have saved can be built at these stations. Then when its done have the station populate your mechanics and engineers with Civilian workers until you find trained workers in your travels. (I would also leave all the other options like scaling be available as well)

 

I think this makes sense in the grand scheme of the game as well. Because, I imagine, in real life if you were going to buy a ship then the ship builders would offer and option to find you a crew while the ship is being built. Hell ship building stations would probably have a LARGE population of civilians living on them for the express purpose of workers, crew, and the industry needed to keep them happy.

 

It would obviously cost more to build the ships this way, but it would be the cost of convenience.
