Before the DLC I already wished for this one mission to have some variation (you know this one, the mission with multiple "!", to find a ship, only to find the crew all dead).. now seeing the DLC, it could see an update.. - scaning the ship could use the same animation used inside the rift missions. it looks nice and adds to the immersion. - there could be an alternate ending if you go the extra mile to dock with it and drag the derelict back to faction territory instead of just relaying their last message. - there could be alternate endings, solveable with a timer (if timer ends, they die and default to the standard ending): > the ship could be heavily damaged.. having hull repair could save them. > their hyperdrive could be damaged and they need be docked and hauled back to faction territory. > they could be damaged and need spare parts (refined ores) and/or personnel (generalist crew) to be donated to be able to fix it. > they could be near dead and opt to jettison their life pods.. so you dock with those to drop them off near a repair station on faction territory.. > they could be limping, damaged and without communications, within a dense asteroid cloud that is interfering with the comms (nebula, radioactive..). What you find at first is only the S.O.S. buoy and need to search a sector or two nearby to actually find them.
