  3. Especially with your Custom Script changes this Sounds like a bug to me. Try it without any mods and if that does not work consider a bug report....
  4. Don't worrry, the devs read pretty much everything, allthough they almost never reply. I like most of your ideas, but I want to clearify some points: Tech level is indeed linked to distance from the core. Weapon stats are indeed linked to the tech level. However due to the large variety of randomnes in the game this does only really show of when you take a look at turret factories. In fact, most of the things you said should have impact on the weapons stats DO have an impact, but the randomness messes it all up and you can only really see the difference at turret factories. I personally do think that weapons should be less random, so you get many with the same type and are enabled to stack them, making inventory management easier. I think the player should be enabled to build turrets, upgrades and torpedoes just as it is possible with fighters. Details have been discussed elsewhere several times already. ;) However building legendary items should NOT be possible while those gain a large bonus in their stats to make them true "super weapons" that are only aquired by loot and research.
  5. I like the idea. It shouldn't really be a problem from what i know of game mechanics, but I believe the devs want to rush the release of the game for it has been delayed for years now and adress minor or cosmetic issues after all the big work is done... don't quote me on this tho, i can just guess ;)
  6. From what I have understood you will get them at equipment docks and they will reveal gates and sectors, at higher price also stations within those sectors. A really nice addition when it comes to trading!
  7. Of course the shape could vary for more settings, being a square or an octagon or whatever the devs consider a reasonable number of possibillities. It does not have to be a triangle :D :D :D
  8. Have any of you guys really done something with the energy menu? Because the only thing i have done is turn everything off so my hyperspace recovery time goes down when i am lacking energy on a small ship in early game. Later on, there is really no point in taking a look as you will never run out of energy. My ships from Trinium stage tend to not even reach battery discharge while boosting because they have A LOT of generators and therefore no energy problems at all. So here is my suggestion: Rework the energy menu to a point where we can actually change the behavior of our ship. I imagine something like a two-dimensional slider to balance energy between different ship-systems like engines, shields and integrity, weaponry. I have drawn and attached a little picture of how i would imagine this to look like (for example). This would allow for a real choice and make the gameplay even deeper. ;)

  10. Was encountering Swoks recently, as well as the adventurer... finished my dialouge with the boss quickly and found myself in the tutorial mission while being surrounded by pirates...

I miss the old combat music as well ;( The new combat music is pretty ok, but the old was absolutely amazing... luckily I saved the files and put them back in so I have it again :P Wouldnt it be possible for the devs to add some music packs to the workshop, that would extend or alter the default music of the game?
  12. Very nice to see some more introduction when it comes to learning the game. I think inventory and weapons need some more work and everything should be more uniform, but that has been discussed in detail elsewhere. For now I am very glad to see how the game keeps getting more and more "adult", taking the shape of something that feels actually "finished". I was hoping for some more Dev-communication in the forums with the new community manager, but it seems that person is only active on discord (i guess? I don't look into that discord alot). In the end, what matters is that Avorion becomes a good game and while it is a long road, I am curious what changes we are going to see in the future! Keep it up!
  13. I read pretty much everything on suggestions, if i don't reply it's usually because I have nothing to say... What i want is changein the weapon system. This needs to be done at two different levels: the general system as well as the weapon mechanics themselves. My ideas about those can be found scattered all around the forums, the most precise problably here, in "Do you think turret factories need a change" and in "More balancing weapons" as well as in this thread. I like my idea more because it is easier, i think a game needs to be easy to understand but complex in the possibilities resolving from that. In the end, every single update has brought the game forward and i am happy with the devs work, they will figure something out at some point in the future to solve this as well as the other issues.

I will make it short (Imagine introduction about weaknesses of current weapon and slot system here, we all know it’s not as cool as it could be) Imagine instead of turrets in weapon slots there were „weapon systems“. That means that you would equip a weapon system (for example „Railgun module“) in one of your weapon slots. This set would have the same use as a turret including the stats. In build mode you would select the weaponry system and would then be allowed to place as many turrets of one design as you want on your ship. These turrets would split the DPS of the weapon system between them. This means you could install a „PDC module“ in one of your weapon slots and would then go to build mode where you could select the „PDC module“ and place as many PDC turrets around the ship as you like. To make it even more concrete. If you were to place one turret at the front, one at the back and one at each side of the ship (left, right, up, down) and that „PDC module“ would offer a DPS value of 60, each of the towers you have would have 10 DPS and be enabled to shoot individually. Weapon systems could still take up multiple slots with system like this, but there wouldn’t be hard restrictions for ship design and functionalities as there are at the moment.   15. This is an awesome idea! I imagine this to be implemented in the far future or even as a DLC: „Avorion stories“ There could be some predesigned sectors as well as an editor where players can create their own ones and then upload them to the workshop.
  16. Tesla turrets could reach up to 4K and las up to 2k when I was playing the last time (about 5 Months ago). Lasers are completely useless due to them not having any kind of special aspect to them. I made suggestions on how to rebalance weapons in several threads and I even got an answer by the devs at some point: Turret reworks are not planned because turrets have already been reworked and the devs want to get the full release of the game done. I can understand that as the initially announced release date was Q3 2017 and there are many things that still need to be done. To sum it up: I think a weapon rework will happen in he distant future, but I don’t expect it to happen in the next 3 years.

  19. Well, let me answer your question trying to Not nclude Spoilers... Ist has been a while since i have been playing on Public Servers, Things were even less Balanced than they are at the Moment. There was a Player on that Server, who hat pretty much the best weapons aviable in that galaxy. The ship was between 5 Million and 15 Million Omicron depending on what weapon type he equipped... i asked him how long he usually needs to take down the end boss of the game. The answer was „between 3 and 15 seconds“. At the current state of the game there is nothing to do after the end boss unfortunately as Avorion has neither real PvP nor End game content. The Devs have stated that they want people to have something to do after the boss at some point in the future Tho. To sum it up: the game is pretty unbalanced as you proceed further. Even just with the weapons you find or research, you will never have real trouble.
  20. The very best turrets will be generated at Research Stations. However I still recommend the use of turret factories as you can easily manufacture 30 to50k omicron turrets in the xanion area Near the Core.
  21. I like this idea. I think there should be a special bonus to such ships, which I suggested before in relation to something else: A ship that matches its blueprint could have adapted stats, making it better to fly despite the normal game mechanics. Of course this bonus would vanish immediately when the design is changed in build mode.
  22. Please don’t spam the HUD with Meters tho. The idea itself is great and I like the simplicity of being able to see everything right from a bar. BUT with meters like this there should be options to customize your HUD, to select which ones you actually want to see...
