  1. Since i notice that i got minor slowdown (no grafical lag) at my homesector even without R-harvesting or fighters at that sector I think there need some economical improment. Since you need a tractor/docking ship to dock/couple stations, i think at first there need to be a check when you found a station if that ship is docked on a station or not, before you check about the minimum distance between stations. That would made it easier to dock 2 or more stations together. But the main improvement it would be when you would add factory blocks for stations only. At this way you could create megafactories with integrated item distribution system. Which mean that megafactory won't need shuttles anymore. And i think these shuttles are one big factor about the slowdown. You still build a station founder at the shipyard, maybe with 4,8,16,32,64 factory slots. Then you can add factory blocks to the station once you found the station. The blocks got the same cash cost like the station founding before.
  2. I notice when you found a new mine from claimable asteroids, they just got just crewquarters. But since my first mine never sold anything even with -20% price setting, i notice there is nothing at the cargo and don't even got a cargohold After adding a cargohold, the mine start to sell resources. I think new founded mines should have not only crewquarter and need some cargohold and a docking.
  3. Currently you need to have both to get it working. But i think it should be seperated. Transport block should mainly increase the range and allow without software the increased docking range (when both are stationary (0 m/s)). The Software give addional features depend on the rarity: - Fighter harvest pickup of ore/scrap metal. - Fighter instant docking when at range - Instant pickup of items/resources, would replace tractorbeam. - Boarding with teleporter when it is inside range, when outside fighter would be launched.
  4. Why not. You should take a look at the creations some people made just with "blocks" !! :-) Just browser through the Creations subforum !
  5. Why not design fighters as unmaned drones, while the pilot stay on the carrier and remote control the fighter. Currently the fighters just operate at relativ close distance (far below 1 lightsecond) so even a EM signal with lightspeed don't got much latence.
  6. I would suggest not to mention a date for the final release. It is done when it is done, but sometimes it will be never done. People allready playing and having fun. Just mention a date for the next big update, so people can plan a vacation for that time ! :-)
  7. Yeah, with the latest patch you could rotate block, and i though lets try to rotate the engine block to break. Boomer, block rotate, but engine still blow backwards. They should completly remove thruster and let engine blocks blow at different direction then backwards.
  8. Or you can say others. Why do we need thruster, except you want/need to slide. Add 3 small gyro for rolling at each axis, and add the subspace thing for breaking.
  9. With the laser you are right, but only for "low power" laser. If you pump enough power into the laser, and focus them to very small beam, you will cut through the armor even when the target is rolling fast. And with a bit more, the laser pressure is even strong enough to prevent the hot gas to escape, so a high pressure build up to explode if the surrounding material got heated and weaked . Don't forget even small-medium ships got Giga W power generation, not to speak from bigger ones with Tera Watt of power. Thats a whole different.
  10. Ok, at Avorion universe the energy shield can absorb energy and projectil damage. But thats not been at any other universe. Serveral shield structures can absorbe only a special kind of damage not all. But thats a different thing. Even the smallest asteroid is more then 1000 bigger then any chaingun projectil, and when the ship is well constructed nearly at the speed of a chaingun proj. Then it doesn't matter if the shield would absorb the damage before, there is still enough damage potential left to destroy the ship. And noone prevent you to add a second materia shield at front of your ship.
  11. And btw. you can see the stats at the overview at the building menu. Just place the gyro, look what number change. Try to place it on a different part of your ship and compare.
  12. Doesn't the dev. said even turrets got entity IDs ? That why he want expand them to 128bit uuid. So i am 100% sure even launched fighter got IDs.
  13. Sorry, but i don't understand what you are talking. Operation Exodus starts when you find a beacon in a hidden mass system. Now you have to find another beacon to get a proper x,y coordinates. Now you have to fly to these coordinates just to find another beacon, that give you another coordinates. This goes on until you are at the edge of the galaxy/Map and you find the remaining surviviors which give you the 1. artefact after some talking.
  14. Maybe ask the Top-guru developer over PM, and ask him about the targeting and your results. Maybe he got an idea.
  15. These Robotic Crew are nice. But sadly you never can get over the 130% boni. It is possible to made a module that increase the repair speed/amount ?
