  1. concept blockout for the A series chaingun. When it comes time to texture I will add plenty of area for color so we can run the multiple factions individualized turrets. Will def do a B style that adds a different option to chainguns. something more minmitar for those of us eve nerds.
  2. Hi, The ship designs that come out of the workshop are amazing. I recommend some custom limit "class" templates that are obvious to the world of Avorion. These already exist with names like, frigate, cruiser, battleship and so on. If there were more specific requirements, shown to the player as challenges or benchmarks, the player would have a clear milestone for simple ship development. This is not too important by itself. Where the good stuff comes in is the game adopting well designed and "approved" ships from the workshop into the NPC galaxy. Special bosses, battleships, station designs - all of these could be adopted from the amazing designs the community has created. I know this would greatly enhance the visual experience, as well as offer a cool way to reward players who build creations that really work and live up to a sci fi galaxy of surprise and adventure. Whatever reason your not using this treasure trove of amazing stuff is bologna! Come together, strategize a format for accepting ship designs into the general universe, it will be worth it. maximum amazing. I know there is copycat and IP issues with some peoples designs, I still think its worth it to figure these issues out and expand the visual quality .
  3. Hi, I am a professional artist and would love to update the turrets and turret icons for this amazing game. I have some specific tweaks in mind, and would love to combo with any of you modders out there to make things like faction unique turrets to go along with the upcoming weapons update. My main question is, how can I get access to the original turret files? I want them for scale only and will be replacing them entirely. Second question: What is the best way to get under the hood and replace those original assets. Is there a popular extractor? Who has the compiler I can use when I finish my work on the updates? I would be happy to show portfolio to any serious parties interested in working with me on this little side project. Hopefully I can cadd to this super badass game. I really enjoy it.
