Some people I've talked to simply don't like the fact that you can just build the ship in the middle of space... these people might buy the game otherwise. Building - Some, or all of these: 1) only allow iron based building in space without proximity to a shipyard, using titanium requires a shipyard. 2) reduce the quality of ships made in space without the use of a shipyard Repairing 1) replacing lost sections/parts will require the repair or shipyard. 2) allow the towing of wreckage - towed wreckage will not despawn - this will allow players to salvage ships, and repair them at a shipyard/repair facility.

1) Secondary explosions which might occur so long as there is critical damage where there are parts that could explode. This would make repairing critical damage more important. 2) Sparks from part surfaces that have just lost a connected part. Like you blow a section off... the areas of those sections which were connected would have some electrical sparks and stuff.. 3) Out of control.... in many sci-fi you see large ships veer out of control and into each other. Starship Troopers, Starwars... and so on... Maybe if a ship loses key command personnel or over a % of its thrusters/engines it has a chance to go out of control in some plausible fashion... might be neat to see what happens... makes battle situations a lot more dynamic.

What parts/factors help generation of power? I thought... well there are no generator parts... so... might be ship size... doesn't seem to be it. Engines? - thought they'd consume power..... Ideas?

I was in a fight with my ship, lost 2 engines. The repair crew was fixing the ship and I wanted to add the two parts that were totally shot off. In the build mode it says... can't edit ship until ship is repaired. So I let the crew finish fixing - green bar is full. Still in build I can't replace the missing parts - I visited a shipyard and still couldn't see how to fix the two missing parts. Any ideas here guys?... Thanks :)
