  1. If you're using Linux, make sure you dont have any Windows Line Endings in your config files. Furthermore, check if all ports are correctly opened. If they aren't, steam can't connect to your server, resulting in obvious errors
  2. When I did some testing on this server I could login and the game worked fine. I could build a ship, fly around, jump in other sectors and so on. There was no issue. Everything worked until I tried to apply a saved ship in build mode. Loading a saved ship causes the issue. Since I have never seen something like this anywhere else it may be a bad config, blocked port or so, but can't say. Exactly this. It seems like there might be an error on the exact moment you click on "Apply Build". After that moment, you lose the ability to send data to the server (for example, movement) but you do still retrieve data (what others say, npc's flying etc.)
  3. Got the same errors in 0.16.6. In the client logs have appeared several network related errors..... 4MB of it ::) download link (since everywhere you can upload there is a size limit...): https://file.pizza/chili-olives-cumin-mozzarella (will keep the p2p open for a few hours, just tell me when you got it :))
  4. I tried it and i cannot send any messages. However, a friend of mine was logged in at the same time and he could chat and I saw the chat messages appear (yet i could still not send any messages)
  5. Here are the logs about the network usage. You can see the usage of the host itself in the attachment, and this is similar to what I saw on the modem. It doesn't seem to be that the upstream is not big enough, cause it should easily handle this load.
  6. I added it as attachment ;-) serverlog_2018-03-16_14-14-07.txt
  7. you should never edit settings when the server is online. This might cause problems in runtime ;-) Always stop the server, edit the server.ini, start it back up.
  8. I've created the server multiple times (with and without the saved world), and i get the same result every time
  9. The server spec is an old PC of mine: CPU: AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core Processor RAM: 16GB Storage: 250GB Samsung SSD Host OS: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS Container OS: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS Doubt that this machine is the problem, since it runs other game servers (7 days to die, Minecraft, etc) as well as Webservers (Nginx, NodeJS, PHP), Databases (Redis, MySQL, Elasticsearch) and other applications perfectly. It's just the avorion server that gives strange behaviour.
  10. Btw, i setted the server to "Infinite Resources = true" so you guys can test. The server IP is same as before, 82.95.193.27. Also tried with the following ships from the steam workspace to see if they all show the same behaviour: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1309949029 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1296046712 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1294372757 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1205305955 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1205343378 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1227008929 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1083421069 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=953160372 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=951708087
  11. Hmm the editor lag? Did not think about it in his case. @BattleOn, how many blocks and mass does your ship have that you try to apply? I don't believe its server lag. Just tried to build a small ship of 8 blocks total and waited for 30 minutes, nothing. Same as before, the bug "activates" and I can't do anything. Furthermore, I've kept a close eye to the server's monitoring (CPU, RAM, Network and Storage) and none of them spiked when I clicked "Apply Plan". The same thing for the client, no spikes what so ever and no details of any kind in the logs...
  12. I will upload a new log tonight. The server is still online and all ports are correctly forwarded and the problem still exists. Furthermore, the authentication error does not occur anymore, and the server does meet the requirements. The server IP is 82.95.193.27, can you check if the problem exists for you?
  13. encountering the same problem more details here: https://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php?reportsent;topic=4020.msg21611#msg21611
