  1. EDITED WITH SOLUTION To anyone with your Dedicated Server not listing, here is the quick troubleshoot. I'm assuming you have a basic understanding from the wiki guide already. In my case, the Bell Home Hub 3000 port forwarding is broken. I've heard of it working, but just as many cases of it not. What I did was: -Turn off hub 3000 wifi -Set up hub 3000 in Advanced DMZ with mac address set to a New Linksys router that I bought for 50 bucks -Plug new router into LAN 1 of hub 3000 -Set up port forwarding on new router (27000 and 27003 should be set to BOTH protocols, it seems) -Set up your computer with a static IP address -reserve that IP address in the new router. -unplug both routers and plug them back in again. Fire up your server and give it a couple minutes to show up on the public listing! if you select "join by ip address", your server should show as online as well! From the ridiculous 24 hours of work I put into getting the server to list, I can tell you that the issue is almost always port related. Find where the ports are closed and get them open. serverlog_2019-07-29_18-15-29.txt
  2. I am having the same issue with being unable to open those ports. canyouseeme.org says they aren't open, no matter what I've tried. Even the DMZ bypass does nothing. I'm starting to think that the router (Bell Hub 3000) is to blame. Unless anyone has a better idea, my only idea left is to buy a new router.
  3. Hello Wizards! I am looking for a server side only mod (preferably) that allows hull damage in some sectors, but not others. This could be as simple as from 0 to 10 sector range (10 sector radius from center). Anyone have an idea how to do this? Should be similar to the core pvp mods soommmmewhere out there. :) Thanks! :D
  4. Hey Wizards! Anyone know where the script is that generates new players? I would like to edit their starting materials and inventory. Thanks ya'll! Have found this so far: http://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php/topic,2193.msg11222.html#msg11222 If anyone knows how to edit starting turret DPS, I'm listening!
  5. I don't know what I did wrong :(
  6. I don't know what I did wrong :( I tried installing on my server, I also installed it client side.
  7. hey Shrooblord! It's awesome that you're working on this, thank you! Does it not defeat the purpose of a welcome mail for the person joining the server for the first time to not recieve it because they haven't installed the mod that sends them a welcome mail telling them to install the mod? If that didn't blow your circuits, mod MUST be server side only to be of any use. I've seen your work, it's awesome! bye for now
  8. Hello Wizards! My server disappears from the server listing when I change the settings from PlayerToPlayerDamage=true to false I experimented one at a time until i found that this was the reason it disappeared from the server list. What am I doing wrong? - After much troubleshooting, with the help of Azerik, we have discovered the solution to the issue plaguing dozens of servers. Problem: Server does not appear on public server listing. Cause: Editing the PlayerToPlayerDamage=true value while the server is online. Fix: turn the server off or "stop" it. Edit the value to the desired true or false. Turn server back on. First fix in 4 years of people asking. You're welcome.

  10. I noticed this a couple months ago and just figured out how to reproduce it now. If you build large blocks, even flat ones, such as 10,000x0.01x10,000 - the processors go to 100% and the game freezes while in the build screen within a few seconds of placing the block. Exactly how to reproduce: -Enter creative mode -Jump to empty sector -Found a new player ship -Modify the root block to double size, twice -Select trinium glass from the menu -modify stats to x:10,000 y: 0.01 z:10,000 -Place glass with flat side flush on root block -Wait a few seconds and watch as your processors rev up and then the computer freezes. Computer is unresponsive, end program and security functions are unable to regain computer control. I am using a NVidia 1050 with 8 core I7 processors, this is/was the very best shelf stock computer. Smaller block sizes freeze computer as well, on my laptop I tested 5000x5000x0.01. First time this occurred, it was stone blocks, so it doesn't seem to be just glass. ~Zhrocknian, 800 hours in game.
  11. 700 hours in game. There are actually two sides to this bug. They often appear at the same time, but not always. First: A bug in the displayed workforce available to the ship. I'll look up the number later, but it's the 4.3 billion one I believe. This is not actually available workforce nor does the ship have this many crew, it is just the displayed number. The bar also goes off the chart. Second, and less often: Infinite crew. It's one of the above said amounts, I'll look it up if requested. Attempting to transfer them only gives the 2nd ship that number of crew. The first ship keeps the ridiculously high number of crew no matter what. Reproducing: always has to do with opening the transfer crew screen. It's not just *poof* there it is in the ship menu, I always notice it first time on the transfer crew screen before anything else is done. Hope this helps, I'll try to reproduce....
