  2. I ran Singularity server in early phases of this game, but decided to shut it down due to instability and constantly messed up save files. I was thinking to give this another go if there is interest from players side. Couple questions: -Will players prefer beta or master branch more? -What mods/features would be must or good to have? -How is general playerbase on this game these days?   3. Yeah, sqlite or mysql would be good option. I actually encountered player yesterday who threatened to crash server if in dont give him recources and credits. He somehow managed to mess up index file and i had to roll back to previous backup. There wasnt any other option since index is hex. If you design database there is something admins could do in situations like this. I post error here too. Server gave this every time i tried to start it. An exception occurred: index 233 is already taken Player data file 233 was his.

    Performance

    CPU load is about 20 times less than in official branch, what is very good improvement. Some random spikes still remains but lag is almost gone now with around 10 players. Memory usage is still quite high. My server is using about 3Gb memory when its been up for few hours. But also that part is better than before. Server took up to 7Gb memory then.
  5. We need feedback category. I'm testing your beta branch now and would be nice to give feedback about it, instead of it to drown into other sections.
  6. I suggest you start using some database instead of these text and index files. I'm indie game developer myself and making one mmo game and database is must.
  7. Switched to beta branch, server performance seems really good now compared to previous one.
  8. Reseted galaxy, player data will remain.
  9. You need to put steamid as format 7656119xxxxxxxxxx not as STEAM_0:X:XXXXXX --admin 7656119xxxxxxxxxx in commandline. Hope this helps.

  11. I tried to change server in to other computer and i copied galaxy files there, but seems it makes always new player file with another id when player is connecting. All configs are fine but player data doesn't apply.
