  1. This game really needs pre-defined modules like cockpits, landing gear, missile launchers, nose cones, curved panels, etc. Compared to other games in the genre, Avorion models appear to be made of Play-Doh.
  2. I'll admit that I'm pretty new in the game, not having played that many hours, but I believe you should be able to purchase as few as one of any type of crew? If this is correct, then the interface for hiring crew should be improved. It is impossible for me to hire fewer than five regular crewmen. When trying to drag that slider, the minimum I can select is five because the thing is so sensitive. With five crew selected to hire, the vertical indicator on the slider has not even visually moved at all to the right. It is still perfectly aligned with all the others. I have even tried reducing the DPI on my mouse to minimum and one tick is five crewmen. I tried for about 20 minutes to select fewer, but never could. A digital representation with "add" and "subtract" buttons should be added so you can click these to change the amounts, then you could still use the slider for quick selections and use the buttons for more accurate results. If the minimum amount of crewmen you should be able to hire is indeed five, then this should be noted on the interface.
  3. Well, after looking about in my old computer parts (I have many), I was able to find an old Nvidia Quadro FX3400 card and installed that. It goes only up to OpenGL 2.1, but I was still able to get server running by skipping the "launcher.bat" and directly running server.bat. Just added this in case it helped someone else. BTW, for those new to servers, copy the server.bat and name the new copy MyServer.bat and modify and use that one, not the original. This way, game updates will not destroy your settings.
  4. I want to operate a dedicated server but it will not run, giving error of "Requires OpenGL 3.0". I have a server that runs Standard VGA Graphics Driver with on-board graphics. Servers have no need for complex graphics, thus reducing overhead. I don't see why a dedicated server should need special graphics capabilities.
  5. Okay, apparently you can't update the server just using SteamCMD. I had to use the Naggerknife's Server Installer batch.
  6. I can't join my dedicated server because the client says the server version is older, yet I've updated the server twice through SteamCMD and both times it says the server is already up to date. Client reports 0.13, Server 0.11.
