  1. So fighters can actually die now, and do. Their huge resource costs and build times as well as personnel costs are sort of making the creation of good fighters prohibitive. My suggestion: 1. make fighters remote controlled. You still need 120 pilots to launch 10 squadrons, but pilots don't head out and don't die (same as other crew atm). 2. make fighters even more vulnerable/easier to hit, or make maneuverability that much more important. maybe even clamp down on the number of points available. basically, have fighters get lost more easily, more often, and in bigger numbers, especially when going up against a fleet that has lots of fast wtracking eaponry 3. reduce fighter build cost and time significantly. Basically, make them consumables that need to be replenished all the time, underlining the need for an assembly plant on ship. 4. On the beta branch, I placed a second assembly block that was smaller than the original one. Build times went up as if only the new block was counted. Either add up all assembly production values, or communicate somewhere in game that the assembly plant must be one contiguous block.
  2. As a workaround, as soon as you mine/salvage/collect even one unit of the bugged resource, the counter seems to get reset and you can sell all of it again. At least that worked for me (had a remote ship mining iron, and after it did I was able to sell my iron again).
  3. The cooldown bars are always shown, but the cooldowns (e.g. for "consumes energy" weapons) is only shown while they're firing. Why? This way, one always has to fire them once to know where the cooldown bar is at - is there any reason this information should be hidden while not firing?
  4. Started a new galaxy, built a starter ship, 2 chaingun turrets, 2 mining turrets. Battled the first squadron of Xsotan to arrive in the system. Both mining turrets got shot off. Afterwards, I had three identical mining turrets in my inventory. This was on easy, full collision damage, default/random starting seed.< I believe this was present before the last update. I never tracked it, really, but in one of my old saves, I had been wondering that I seemed to keep "finding" identical railguns.
  5. When I receive damage, and some turrets get "shot off my ship", I then find the number of turrets that got shot off additionally in my inventory. i.e. I have 2 turrets on my ship, both get removed due to the underlying block being destroyed, I now have 4 in my inventory. This is repeatable.
  6. Hi, I've been doing a bit of combat in a shipyard system that was attacked by Xsotan as well as (a bit later) pirates. I noticed that damage taken by my ship would not register at first....but if I flew out of combat for a few seconds, suddenly my shield and hull points would drop (i.e. damage was belatedly applied). This is similar to mining big asteroids in older versions (haven't tested in the current one) where if you just directed mining lasers at the center of an asteroid, and kept the mouse button pressed down, the asteroid would only update after you stopped firing. For asteroids this is all fine and dandy, but player damage (both dished out and taken) should be prioritized. :)
  7. This seems to have resolved my issues (i.e. deleting the user specific data). I was stupid about it, though, I actually deleted the old data instead of renaming the folder, so I can, sadly, not provide any old files that triggered this problem.
  8. I sent a bug report through the in-game reporting feature that should include the logs. I completely uninstalled Avorion, deleted the old Avorion install directory, and reinstalled the game. I just realized I didn't do the same for the user specific files under Users/AppData. Will make a completely clean new start and see if that changes anything, then let you know.
  9. Ever since the latest patch, I can't play single player anymore. For one, I have to start a new galaxy because the game crashed during saving the old one. Another...I lag out - connection lost: no response from server when trying to mine even the first iron asteroid. My System has an AMD Phenox II X6 1090T hexcore processor and 16 GB of RAM and an AMD R9 270X GPU. I was stoked to give Avorion another try, especially because of all the wreckage issues that were marked resolved in the patch notes, but it won't let me really play right now. Edit: if, after a connection loss, I try to start the single player game again, I get an "avorionserver.exe has crashed" error popup. The avorion server exe is still running, though, and I have to manually kill it in the process manager in order to restart the game.
  10. Love this mod. However, is there a toggle to only regenerate true mineable asteroids, and not spawn empty ones along with them?
