  1. server install no longer works. Has this been abandoned?
  2. I have found a work around to fix the issue with the server forcing BETA. Before using ./manager install you will need to manually edit the manager-config.ini and change the beta to false. Then you can continue to follow the directions to install the server.
  3. installing your manager still installs the beta version of the server regardless of what beta option you choose. Is there a work around or an older version to download?
  4. Same for me. It installed beta. Also I have attached the commands for the firewall. Using ufw on ubuntu 16.04. Before we begin please make sure you know what you are doing with ufw. If you are unsure please google it. (if using ssh to login. If port is different use your port number instead of ssh example: sudo ufw allow 220) sudo ufw allow ssh Copy and paste the following: sudo ufw allow 27000/udp && sudo ufw allow 27000/tcp && sudo ufw allow 27003/udp && sudo ufw allow 27020/udp && sudo ufw allow 27020/tcp && sudo ufw allow 27021/udp && sudo ufw allow 27021/tcp && sudo ufw allow 8080/tcp use only if apache/ssl sudo ufw allow 443/tcp Enable UFW sudo ufw enable verify that everything looks good sudo ufw status
  5. +10 Highly recommend. I ran a "basic" server in windows, but after seeing this I built myself a dedicated box for Avorion and this manager. Saves me the time and frustration when setting this up. Very easy from start to finish. You have waayyy more control over your server with this manager. Also, a big plus is the help he extends to those who have questions on his discord. Cool guy, great support and amazing work!
  6. ook The server was online for 24 hours, but today I've restarted everything so it's been online for about 4 hours now, I'll wait and see what happens tomorrow. Also my credentials do not work when I try to sign in. I tried steam, root, and avorion (default user that runs server). Also my galaxy folder is called "--max-players" not sure if that is intentional. Thanks for your quick reply!
  7. Great manager! Works while following your steps, but I cannot get the map to show the discovered sectors or the factions map. I have updated using avorion-manager/UpdateManager.sh I've noticed that the console and a few other options have disappeared with the update. Currently only the home screen is useful as I can see who joins and who leaves. The other tabs (except graphs) don't work.
  8. Alright so I fixed the problem. Turns out my Avorion server was not using the default port, as it was assigned some random port. Not sure why as nothing was using that port. Regardless I had another linux server in my datacenter so I setup a new server just for Avorion and now things are working flawlessly.
  9. So I have deleted everything and reinstalled everything. It is still not showing. I am using STEAMCMD on my server in my home and using this guide http://avorion.gamepedia.com/Setting_up_a_server The ports are: 27000 UDP & TCP 27003 UDP 27020 ~ 27021 UDP & TCP I have turned off the firewall and still nothing. Can someone confirm those ports please? The wiki's wording is rather unusual.
  10. Alright, so my friend was able to join me through steam just fine. Looks like everything works. I did not change anything, maybe its somewhere on the list?
  11. I cannot see my server on the public server list. I can see it in lan and play with no issues, but nothing else. Port scan results: https://pastebin.com/yRvpp3Cm - Shows "filtered" & "closed" as status. - router? - UPNP is currently ON Server Log: https://pastebin.com/qau0m6N9 Server INI: https://pastebin.com/K23kNsYi Server with -t network: https://pastebin.com/ZPzbZ3sy My ports are default and setup in router; 27000 UDP & TCP 27003 UDP 27020 ~ 27021 UDP & TCP And my firewall rules allow the ports and "AvorionServer.exe" (from F:\avorion\bin). AV and firewall was been temporarily turned off, and still no luck. Server is running I7-2600 3.4ghz w/ 16gb ram win 7 pro http://canyouseeme.org/ does not see my ports open, but I've always had issues with this site not reporting accurately. My ISP does not block any ports and can run other game servers just fine.
