  1. Great ideas! The research artifact could maybe guarantee research success as long as you have at least 3 modules in the station, and/or the leftmost module is the one guaranteed to be the one upgraded if it succeeds, or the one returned if it doesn't succeed.
  2. This idea is awesome! I really like it, but it seems to have taken some *ahem* inspiration from the borg and Species 8472 from Star Trek, which is completely cool with me, I love this idea and would love to see it in the game, but maybe there are sort of incubation pods where you can grow crew members at a cost of materials. This idea would also be endgame, maybe when you enter the center or even after you beat the SPOILER ALERT Spoiler alert over Maybe the patient zero from the lore could be a final boss. Also i like Okay, but then how about this: since you are a biological race of creatures that needs biomass, maybe you need to stock up on what is normally only trading commodities, like Luxury Food and Dairy and such? Then there's at least some balancing there: no money for salary, but you still need to sustain yourselves and your ships in some way. these ideas because they just make sense.
  3. I have a similar post here: http://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php/topic,3650.0.html (Number 3 and 6)
  4. 1st. You know how before you jump you have to calculate the route? Make it so that computer cores speed that up. 2nd. Add a sort of upgrade, a way to increase the material (and thus, quality) of a turret. Or a way to increase the potency of a module so that when it gets to legendary it's not stuck. Have material upgrades, damage upgrades, hyperspace upgrades, etc. And a vendor that sells them. This also only works on legendary turrets/modules. 3rd. Make a way to claim sectors/create factions. Maybe a certain structure could be built that will use resources in the sector (Wont actually use them up, but is better the more there are) and will create AI ships, as if it were an AI faction. These AI ships could be taken control of, and would act like AI ships. Also stuff would be free (or atleast heavily discounted) for your faction's items, and the reconstruction sites are free. The leader of the faction (and moderators, chosen by the leader) would be able to establish trade routes with other factions, including other player factions. The trade routes would bring items to the stations and a slow but steady income to the capital of the faction, which would be where the leader(s) would control from. You would be able to ally and declare war on AI and Player factions. Of course you would get to name the faction. Since all factions have a general design for each ship, you could upload 1-3 designs for each ship (Corvette, Cargo Hauler, etc) You could also set permissions for which factions and which players are allowed to have dangerous/illegal/stolen cargo, and confiscated cargo and money will appear at the headquarters (capital). This cargo will also be unbranded, even if it was previously branded as stolen. From the headquarters, you would be able to access information of every sector that you have a communication beacon in (new structure). 4th. After defeating the xsotan guardian some amount of times (5 maybe?) you will get a gun called the "Wormhole Creator" its an avorion teir turret that requires 20 engineers. You can shoot it two times and it creates a wormhole between these two places. To prevent griefing, a player can only have 3 active pairs of wormhole, when a new one is created, the oldest one is destroyed. This would cost a lot of energy and minerals. This would also have some long cooldown, or be one time use. It would also require some harder task to get after the first use. (One use is a pair of wormholes) 5th. There should be a way, maybe using a special item or special kind of force turret, to create a claimable asteroid. This would take maybe a day to complete, but during the process, even if there's no one in the sector, it still runs. There would be a graphic of asteroids being slowly pulled together. This kind of claimable asteroid would not be sold for as much as a natural one, but would be able to be used for a mine as any other asteroid would. Also, the item would be destroyed (or maybe just given a long cooldown) after this happened. The asteroid would be claimable by everyone, but the person who placed the maker gets a notification an hour, half an hour, fifteen minutes, ten minutes, five minutes, a minute, etc in advance. Also, this would be unable to be used in a sector with no asteroids (obviously). 6th. Add an ability to build warp gates. For those that found a hidden mass signature, set up a few mines and stations, and can't even get NPCs to go there because there are no warp gates (me). It's pretty unfair, maybe this would be included in the faction mechanic. Similar to the wormhole, but much cheaper, use able by NPCs, and much more limited range. Also a player could make an infinite number of them, but only in a sector that either they have a communication beacon (previously mentioned) in, or a sector that already has at least 1 warp gate in it. 7th. So I recently built a Borg Cube. Wasn't very hard, but I want to make it more like a borg vessel. Make it so that I can "assimilate" ships. Some weapon that, when a ship is low on hull, and the shields are down, I can beam on some boarders. These would be special boarders that would take control of an AI ship, and make it part of your ship. It would even come with a captain. You would be able to do this for player-controlled ships, but the player would get back all their turrets and upgrades (or at least they would get back the ones they would be able to pick up had it been destroyed). Whenever a ship gets boarded, the player controlling it would be alerted (unless a special upgrade is equipped that hides the boarders for a certain amount of time, depending on the upgrade's stats.) The speed of assimilation, when using the special boarders, would be increased with the amount of boarders used, and decreased with the amount of security on board. When the player controlling the ship is alerted, a bar would be placed on their H.U.D. When the bar is full, the ship has been assimilated, and is placed back at their spawn, as if they died. The upgrades they would keep would be placed in their inventory. The bar is filled faster and slower with boarders and security (did I already mention that? not sure). The player would be able to intervene, by, I dunno maybe pressing a button fast? If there are too much more security than boarders than the assimilation attempt will fail. Oh and don't use the word assimilation for copyright reasons.
  5. I like this idea, but would there be a way to remove a blueprint off a fighter body, if you got a better one?
  6. I TOTALLY agree with you. The alliances should also get custom names (which I think they already do) and the abilities to mass produce AI controlled ships, like I mentioned in the post. I think this would make co-op and pvp way more encouraged, because of faction wars.
  7. I got absolutely nothing from this post. I have no idea what any of it means. No offense if English isn't your native language or something like that, just please clarify if possible.

  9. 2. Oh sorry, I forgot to add that this will ONLY be available for legendary modules/turrets 3. Yeah I guess so
