  1. Our server has been running about a week now and its now unplayable. There are wrecks everywhere and the whole galaxy appears to still be at war (or 5mins from reinforcements) even after the patch last night. A couple of questions below: 1) Can we clean up the server in some way without nuking it and starting again? 2) How does the client update affect the servers? How long does it take for a server to be released that matches the clients revision? 3) Any way of further reducing the server load in the config? We are currently spiking at 3gig and its crippling the server. Thanks in advance.
  2. I was wondering this too.
  3. It will just drift at speed right at you if you haven't moved. It ends badly...
  4. I've had this same issue and the ship appears to be gone for good. I had 2 ships with one of them controlled by a Commander. We had some server issues and when I logged in it had duplicated my mining ship and my main ship was no where to be found :D
  5. I think I've read somewhere in upcoming fixes the speed in which they follow you around.
  6. I have a mining ship when I'm in a sector and control a gun ship/salvage setup. I protect the miner and salvage any wrecks as I go. In a good Trinium sector with 4 trinium mining lasers and 4 naonite ones I can grab about 20k in 10minutes including the stuff I salvage off ships. The same works in lower end sectors but I have more efficient mining and salvage lasers now. Its a bit of a pain to get your AI ship to do over 300m/s when it follows you out the sector, and you have to be within 5k ish of it when you jump for it follow you. Also note the jump ranges on both ships. Basically its well worth the hassle setting it up. Biggest tip is make sure you have a load of spare crew on board your ship BEFORE you build it, or be near a station with crew. Also make sure you have a commander available on your ship to transfer or at a nearby station.
  7. Is this related to the issue we are having koonschi?
  8. Nice one, I will have a look into that. We are checking the files on the server as well to make sure. Currently I just CTD when I log into the server. I will have a look through the netlogs as well and see if anything is jumping out at us. Thanks for getting back to us.
  9. Morning, We have had a great week on the game and the server has been going great. CPU never over 20% and Ram 70%. However last night with 6 on the server we noticed huge server lag. Around that time the new fixes came out so we all logged out, updated the game (via steam) and then updated the server. No most of us crash to desktop when going back into the server if we spawn into a system with active AI fighting there. Can we rollback the server/players so we only lose a couple of hours rather than 30+ we have spent.
  10. Will do. I have some time over the weekend so will have a look over it. There are a few of us playing at the moment so I will pool resources and start filling in the blanks. Loving your work on this game so far!
  11. New to the game myself and I'm looking forward to discovering it rather than debug commands. However the commands will be useful for debug and bug finding maybe :D
  12. So far so good as we only have a 10 slot server which appears to be working ok so far. The server can't be queried though. They claim the following "The game has only just been released and is likely to have teething issues. I've had a word with the developer and steam integration is not yet finished so it cant be queried by our system." Have they spoken to you koonschi?
  13. Yeah good plan. I will put a comment in regarding this and see if a Dev picks it up.
