The only issue I can see with this is the random nature of stations in each sector. He would also have to make it so that each starting sector had a shipyard or you'd be screwed.

Yeah there is an Avorion folder in Appdata that has another folder where your ships are saved. If you open the Windows Run command and type in %appdata%/Avorion it takes you to the folder.

Yup yup! So you can either get a captain for your ship, leave the ship into the drone, click on your ship, then order it to mine. Or you can go into drone and discover a new ship. Outfit it for mining(engis/mechanics/miners), put a captain in it and send that to mine while you guard it with your original ship. In my game I have three small ships with the bare min crew requirement to mine and I just send them out while I watch for pirates. Just make sure you have a decent amount of credits, because the salaries can add up.

The developer has stated that he is going to remove jammers until he find another mechanic to achieve something similar.

Also the Y key automatically flips the block you have vertically.

I don't know how hard it would be but maybe having an overall "DPS" value on the tooltips for weapons could be nice once you start trying to sell a bunch of stuff. Takes forever to manually read through all the tooltips to account for Rate of Fire buffs etc.

The hangar is Trinium, it requires about 2k trinium to create the hangar. If you get a chance to post the XML of that ship I'd be super psyched to try it out!

You're further than me at least, but from what I read he's thinking about making it mine out of sector. He's just trying to not hard for new players on a server being screwed by people just AFK mining all over servers.
