  2. well, the reason I want to is because for some reason, my player data stopped loading and every time I log into my server, out makes me a new player staying from scratch. it doesn't overwrite the player data file, so that's still there. I tried messing around with the index and player file using wordpad, with my only success being able to load a previous galaxy index file (which it didnt create a new player when I logged in, but had different galaxy and player data as an unexpected result)
  3. Is there a way to properly view and edit the player.dat and index files without reading a bunch of gibberish with random key words? ???
  4. I run a personal server, and last night I exited as usual, only to find that when I logged in today, I was back in the starter zone. I figured something killed my ship, but I literally was back to "new player" status. Confused, I checked the player data folder. My player data was still there, but it creates a new player profile every time I log in to the server and uses that. I tried overwriting the data with my other player profile, and does the same thing except it overwrites it. I have no idea what's going on. OS: Windows 10 Professional GPU: Geforce GTX 970 CPU: i7 4790k
