  2. Okay, so I set up a few mines, and built a Gas Collector, and there are now over 80 of the Xsotan in the sector. Not a supper big deal, but i cannot engage them because it crashes the server every time. Any way to get rid of them, or is there a way to kill them all at once, or something, it is unplayable as it is.
  3. Not actually the Star. I was just so frustrated trying to get it done that i sort of gave up. i was hoping someone would finish skinning it out and maybe look at why it seems to be so slow.

  9. I have seen some WONDERFUL designs here, and after viewing most of them, almost didn't upload mine, but... what the heck! Mine is a Star Trek, or more precisely, a Star Trek Online Based design. I have seen a few in here, and just know that I stole ideas from a lot of you. Well done. This design is a cross between the Dakota Class, and the STO Stargazer Class. It is rather late game because it takes a bit of high end material. $6,446,772 39,056 Iron 239 Trinium 26,655 Xanion 315,263 Avorion I know it is not near as good as some of the ones on here, but it is using the directional thrusters, and the Gyro. So, she is ready to fly with little to no modifications. I think I bit off more than I could chew! Seemed like such a great idea at the time. (I truly stink using those triangle boxes.) My intention was to keep it lower tier, like really nothing over Naonite, but not sure if that is even going to be possible due to the design shape.   12. Uumm... I would love to, but as I click the server to get it up and running, it just flashed the server window for a second or maybe 2, then it disappears. Never to be seen again. In my old server folder, i have logs, but in the new folder i created for the BETA, there are not any logs yet, the folder has not even been created. I know it is something so freaking simple that I am screwing up, just missing it I guess. FOUND THAT ISSUE: Steam had my connection locked open for some form of Steam Update. On reboot the server started. Issues listed below.
  13. Well, I am going to have about a dozen Hardcore Gamers pretty upset with me if I can't fix this before they all start logging in this afternoon. I have a MONSTER Sever Computer set up here in my office at home. A 1-Gig fiber optic internet connection etc... etc... I have been running Naggerknife's Avorion Server for the group to play Avorion. A few minutes ago, I downloaded the Beta-Branch stuff, we were all going to test out the new patch fixes etc. Now for some reason, my server does not want to boot up. I know that we will all have to start from scratch and create new builds and all, but I can't even get it to boot. Any suggestions?

  15. Okay, so... Here's the Skinny. I cranked up my own server for our Gaming group. Found this Monster here in the forums. Just off of the looks alone, I downloaded the XML. Jacked it up with some upgrades and a few turrets. It was originally too large for my play style, so I found the Seven Parsec site where you can scale your ship, either up or down. http://www.seven-parsec.net/index.php?site=avorionscaler Dropped this beast to 50% and re-did the XML install. NOW!!! It is a GOD! I sheared off the top half of the rear box area. and was going to Mirror/flip the thing to have essentially a double hull, one top, one bottom. Joined at the box area. Server didn't like that at all. TOO MANY BOXES!!! LMFAO. Crashed my own server trying to do that. It is fast, maneuverable and effective. Oh, and did I mention.... GORGEOUS!

  18. So, as one is salvaging, one of the pop-up hints is that some of the salvageable ships can be repaired to fly again. How do you know? How is this done? Probably asked and answered already, but I can't find it. Ghozt
  19. So, the game is rather awesome, got some questions and I understand that is really no "Users Guide' to the game yet, other than the foreums, so I have been looking around. About to go post my specific question in another topic. Oh, and by the way. Hey folks. Glad to be here. Ghozt 8)
