followed installation. Copy pasted files and configdefault.lua and renamed it to config.lua /tmod doesnt add any icon. edit: after exiting game and reentering game icon appeared

I really like this idea...designing turrets for my homeworld styled ships is very nesessary for my ship building (which this game is all about). Or to keep it simple just take any turret you want and redesign it to whatever you want, no need to get too realistic. Im really dreaming about this...its gonna be so awesome and lots of creative ppl will drive us crazy when they push the limits to what can be designed in this game!

Having to kill countless of enemies just so you can hope to get that one colour you need so that your ship will look good sucks...cant we at least get a cheat and find all of them at once? After a little while the games just gets boring...its all about ship building. Not having all paint options at start is limiting what you can do. This needs to go forward...just let us make the colour we need. If you want it tied into game progression then just charge different prices for different colours.

hey guys this is the newest addition , after destroying the iron box ship I built this titanium destroyer...still sticking to homeworld design. im still in the outer rim of the galaxy but I will slowly start exploring towards the core. ... here is the refit with added naonate necessities green engines didn't go well with the previous paint so I changed it.

yeah I know, I just wanna find a more creative way to do that. I wanna avoid making it seem blocky.

Thanks for the info and the nice things you say guys...dang I seem to like this game too much. Couldn't sleep so I decided to work a bit on another homeworld ish ship im making. This one is still in assembly so it will end up being a lot more when its finished. So heres a sneak pic. I wanted to use a different way of making this one. Use some trusses in between major ship parts and some cargo containers...a more general use looking ship than the "03". Tried at giving its engines a new look. I'll put this one bridge on the right side of the ship just like a sertain veygr ship in homeworld 2. Its not finished yet and many parts are still missing but this is more or less how its gonna look like. Colors are not final. need to find a way to cover up those ugly looking trusters. I think the roundish engines look good.

Thanks guys... the ship is a bit cheating so showing any stats is pointless, the entire chassis is from avorion gens batteries shields hyperspace drives ... all other structural elements are mainly from trinum the engines are ogonite I think just cause the color looked right , I focused on making it look right more than functionality even though im playing for a lot of hours with this ship its shields seem to be unable to go down ever and its really good. Turret placement is a bitch though . Im just experimenting with the ship builder. Adding the details took some time. trying to make it look like something out of homeworld like the hangars one for assault craft and one for utility ships...is there a texture pack that takes the camo away from armor pieces? Next in line is probably a new republic battleship from star wars legacy comic (the tall vertical hammerhead looking one) and then probably something like the martian corvette/frigate from "the expanse" ( a personal favorite) . Eve online is a great game but the community they have created and are promoting is not one you can have fun with casually . Too much grief and its also considered common sense in that game and its such a good game gameplay wise (probably the best spaceship game out there). Nexus the Jupiter incident was another good game with the kind of space combat I enjoy that avorion really resembles in the way that ships fly . Games like avorion really help me experience awesome space battles and I find it an interesting (a bit dumbed down though) alternative for my space combat needs. I'll upload better pics of this baby later and i'll keep posting anything that I might come up with that looks good enough. Update: Anyway I decided to start a game without cheating (will probably make a new cheaty "artistic design" next weekend) , spent lots of time mining what I could find (only iron unfortunately) and decided to build as good an iron ship as I could make. Energy available is an issue in iron ships so I had to get as many panels as I could while having everything armored in case I run into a pirate den (so far armor seems to make my ship invulnerable , is this a bug? im playing on easy and till now I haven't taken any damage . So I decided to go with the standard box design since its the more reasonable thing to do in such a low spacefaring level. Here is the Nausica during assembly. and now the finalized design before I destroy it and go for a titanium hull and a more advanced design. Will stick to homeworld designing principles since I love those ships more than anything else in sci fi . I fought a lot of aliens and pirates and I got some very nice military turret control systems! the purple kind. It messed my energy consumption on the iron ship but I think a titanium ship with generators wont really cause me any problems. Im currently checking out custom made lego spaceships designs that exist in the net. Most of them look amazing and they are a great source of inspiration for this game just like the homeworldish cruiser in my first post. This week in RL is gonna be really tough having to dedicate more time at work. Its nice that these things are ok with being hidden and the game doesn't try to deal with them in a realistic way.

I only found this game 2 days ago and i finally produced a ship i really like. Took a lot of tim to make and i made looking at the big cruiser in the middle of this lego spaceship fleet Obviously i love homeworld designs... Im still new in the game and dont really know what im supposed to do but building ships like this is awesome! I'l try to make one of those 360 gifs and upload.
