hello since i haven't seen a mod exactly like this put up before i decided to post my changes for mining and salvage turrets. what this mod does is up the range and damage of mining and salvage turrets by 4x while also editing the inventoryitemprice.lua so that the cost of mining and salvage turrets doesn't multiply by 8 since the damage and range up the item price a lot. with this setup you will have a 3 range or higher turret that also works 4x faster for roughly the same cost as vanilla turrets. an unfortunate side effect of upping salvage laser damage is that they become pretty good early game weapons vs non shielded ships but overall they really arn't much better than a real weapon at titanium level+ to install simply copy the data folder from the file into the avorion directory. you may want to make a backup of the inventoryitemprice.lua and turretgenerator.lua for saftey. so far ive had no issues with it on version 0.19 and the new 0.20 :edit: forgot to mention these changes dont apply to the drone lasers or the 2 mining lasers you start the game with you have to buy newly generated ones or find them as drops bmaster_mod.zip

well i have a question. could you make the install instructions slightly more concise i would like to use this mod as it is exactly what ive been looking for but im not entirely sure what i need to do to get it to work correctly. drag a drop edit files what?

i think one thing that would make a great addition to the game would be standardized ship designs for each faction and instead of style 1,2,3 and seeds for the random shipyard ships make them use the standard designs for that faction that owns the shipyard. and yes it would be a lot of workload to make unique ships for each class frigate,corvette etc for each faction. but im sure that most of the shipbuilders in the community myself included would be more than happy to build ship sets for no more reward than getting to see them implemented into a game we love.

would it be possable to buff individual targeting turrets to not have quite such a massive decrease in damage. and if so how?

nice looking ships does the [img(] tags work with that site would make your pictures a bit easier to look at.

just grab a piece of paper and hold a pencil lightly and start putting down random lines and see what jumps out at you as a "ship shape" and go from there. best way to get something mostly original.

well theres always edging it out so it looks like it curves into it and making them into sorta side winglets

if your wanting to just cover up your trusters you could always do the .05 thick armor plate trick lol.
