  1. After updating our Linux server, I get this version and can't connect with the latest client from today's update: Avorion server Beta 0.15.7 r10164 running on Debian GNU/Linux 8 (jessie) Edit: Works now, it was something on our side!
  2. I managed to fix stuck traders by using a force turret to pull them to the dock of the station, they stay for a while then get pushed away from the station and continue to fly away. Looks like they stop too far away of the dock's hauling range and wait there forever, this is also blocking the station from calling for other traders.
  3. DRAGNET

    Entire crew lost

Did not play for a few days (my friends did play) Yesterday my entire crew was gone, autopay was active
  4. You can turn off collision when creating a new Galaxy, or edit the server.ini from your Galaxy and set CollisionDamage=0, but learning how to avoid collisions is more interesting ???
  5. It worked at 2nd atttempt for me. Maybe you can ask a friend to push you away from the upgrade with a force turret...
  6. Same problem here on Multiplayer, turrets are not showing up and both client and server crash 5 seconds after entering game Server log: Client log: Update: Managed to fly away from the upgrade floating above me circumvented the crashes, but all my turrets are gone (still there as the log shows), now trying to recover them by deleting the blocks they where attached to. Update2: Deleting blocks does not help to recover the turrets, they are all gone now from the client log after entering another ship and going back. Back to turret factories and rebuild... :P Update3: I'm glad I had to rebuild, the new turrets now have about 90% of the range advertised =) salvaging is really nice with 1.5km range!
  7. Have you tried changing camera mode with F2 button?
  8. Title sais it all, I would expect them to to be inactive in that situation... breaking at the same time while accelerating does not make much sense. Keep up the good work! Edit: Only seen this in single player Edit2: Also seen this in Multiplayer after some play time, trying to find out what causes this bug
  9. Update 2: When disabling useSteam, login to server and first load takes a very long time, found out why: Both Client and Server log report "Client Communicator received message that remote is not receiving UDP packets. Switching to TCP only." after several failed retries with UDP, then falls back to TCP. After successful login (takes about 5mins), loading sectors is much faster compared when using steam network, and no problems with not being able to interact.
  10. Update! Added command line: --use-steam-networking 0 (same as below) Changed Server.ini: useSteam = false isAuthenticated = false No problems anymore! Direct connection to server on port 20000, no more routing through steam network across the globe =) It's loading big sectors super fast now... wheeeeeeee!
  11. Anybody knows why all the traffic is routed through Steam? My Friend's server is in Switzerland, I live in Switzerland, but Steam routes the data via WASHINGTON! Here is a screenshot that shows the problem:
  12. Hi! First I have to say, me and my 4 other friends I managed to infect with the Avorion Virus love this Game! I have a 10Mbit/s LTE connection and have lots of trouble playing on my friend's server. Usually with other games there is no problem at all, ping is great for LTE (mostly under 100ms, usually around 60-70ms, sometimes as low as 45ms) and I get up to 1200kb/s download speeds. The server is sending me only between 30 to 250kb/s on average (it jumps up and down) and this results in very long loading times especially for sectors with lots of content, and it looks for me as if long loading times breaks something server side (sync-problem?), I can shoot and fly, I see other NPC's fly around but I can not swap modules, enter ships or mark a hyperjump destination on the map or remote-command ships etc. I also have a slow (but more stable) 1.5Mbit/s ADSL line, but have the same problem with long loading times resulting in being unable to interact when finally in the sector. Keep up the great work! Cheers DRAGNET
