  1. Spinning up a new galaxy since I last played in March. I use dual monitors and with the latest beta my mouse doesn't seem to lock to the game window anymore in fullscreen or borderless so it's making flying a bit different... anyone else had something like that and have a suggestion for a fix?
  2. Armed turret using 1 armed and 1 unarmed slot. Before placing it. After.

  4. After some testing it seems that if I'm not in sector my ships aren't docking. As soon as I load in, the ship start to dock. If I stay in sector, the ship take less then 2 minutes to warp in and dock. I tried with the ship to mine and dock in the same sector without warping and the same thing happens when I'm not in the sector. Edit: Tested this on single player and on a multiplayer server.
  5. So with the change to mining, would setting the loop be added in now? Not every sector has a resource depot so in order to full clean out a sector they would have to make several jumps with putting in the same flight pattern and warps each time.
  6. I spun up dedicated server for a new galaxy tonight with build 20.5 I can't apply saved ship designs to my ship. When I try I no longer am able to apply blocks to my ship or chat Everything is frozen until I shut down the game and restart. I reinstalled thinking it's my client but same issue happens after reinstall and with another PC. Edit: Cancel, this was something on my side.
  7. You should only be able to get a single captain from a faction that you are max rank with. In order to get more captains you should have to get max rep with another faction to get another one to join your fleet. This would limit the amount of AI controlled ships at least until you get more time in the game getting faction rep up no matter where you go in the game. A optional bonus would also be that Captains could be unique by giving each one a random trait, such as -5 second for shield recovery, %5 faster crew leveling, +1 Turret. This would give a reason to keep looking for better Captains and put value on the good ones you find.
  8. I just tried to do a small trade loop and I'm getting the same issue.
  9. New function and hotkey to focus on current target in strategy mode. This function would zoom the camera in to a certain view distance from the target.
  10. I'm not 100% that's a fix, I have made smaller tube shaped mining ships after I originally made this thread and 6 turrets to cover all sides. They still stop and when I jump directly into the mining ship from another sector, they are no where near an ore asteroid.
  11. Is there a way to increase the tickrate for loaded sectors? It feels so slow it's almost as if they aren't even loaded at all.
  12. Did the hotkeys to rotate/turn the camera in strategy mode ever get added back in?
  13. So I'm the Iron ring still goofing off with ship designs. I keep finding that the 3 mining ships i have in different sectors start mining aggressively when i load into their sector and set them to mine. After about 20-30 minutes of me not in that sector, the mining seems to go down to a trickle. Once I load back in the sector again, set their task to mining and the cycle repeats. This is the first time I've played Avorion with the out of sector loading so I'm not sure if this is a bug or not? Just as a reference I'm playing single player and not on a dedicated server.
  14. Can strategy mode get a little love? At least can we can the options to see all the keybinds for this mode and the ability to change them? I'm still trying key combos to find how to rotate the camera in this mode since the hotkey for it changed, or worse that the function has been completely removed and I'm driving myself up a wall looking for something that doesn't exist anymore.

Make another ship - Load down with stone - load up with production blocks - make sure the ship is in a faction or alliance sector that has something to defend it - Place ship near somewhere that sells materials. Want more? Copy and make another ship - repeat as needed or funding available. Farms and farms of fighter production all you have to do is come back and trade fighters.

  19. Testing out the changes this weekend but with combat patches going in can the tactical view get a little love soon? Three major revisions ago I at least was able to rotate the tactical plane forward without having to exit and re-enter tactical view(old hotkey was default T). But I'd love WASD for camera movement, hotkey for moving camera the left and right, hotkey for moving the tactical plane forward or back, etc....
  20. My requests, less about balance more about appearance. Make combat blocks, turrets can go inside them in the menu and are limited by size of the block. the weapon would then fire from the block's location. ie Laser weapons could look like phasers coming from the hull of a ship instead of from a small barnacle. Make turrets be able to be customized like how fighters are now, one design for the base and one design for the moving arm.
  21. When Right Clicking the module out of the ship into an Alliance Vault the module vanishes. Only happens with the legendary module.
  22. After a couple of days of playing 1.) Duplicate ship bug - Creates a duplicate ship and crashes our server after jumping to a new sector sometimes. After we load the server back up a duplicate ship is in where you planned to jump and a few sectors back. You start in your drone in the same sector as the second ship. 2.)Fighters seem unkillable. I have watched two warring factions near the edge of the barrier fight and one side loses but the fighters can't be killed at all. 3.)Discarded fighters, ie thrown out of the window to be destroyed, aren't always destroyed. Sometimes they disengage from the ship without taking a pilot, then get treated as a fighter that was left behind when a jump occurs. This apparently causes the fighter to start attacking stations and ships in the sector causing rep loss. The faction should kill it but not until it becomes hostile towards the fighter then see number 2 for it not being killed. 4.)No recall all squads option. Not a bug but a semi-pain in the rear.
  23. Stations Stations to be able to take upgrades. With this change, the volume for the next station upgrade would be a lot higher than a ship's requirement. Stations to be upgraded in stages after making so much material. Example: After a small solar station makes 20000 energy cells, the station would be able to be upgrade to medium (with titanium), then large(naonite), then XL(trinium)... XXL(Xanion)....XXXL(Ogonite)... New station type, tower/sector defense. Could require a new station only block, armory. So you could have patrols and stationary defenses for sectors you own. Ability to build shipyards, trading posts, repair, research.... etc. Ships Turret blocks, can be edge, full block, or corners. Instead of placing turrets on the hull you place them in this block. Amount of turrets that can be placed depends on the volume of the block. Firing would happen on one side of the block, the angle side for the edge and corners and just a single side for the weapon block. The turrets in these blocks would count toward the total count allowed on the ship but without the barnacle effect of having multiple turrets on the hull. Also providing some protection from being shot off. General or QoL Renaming of Ships Patrol feature to mimic a path you define
