Well... I'm a few years late to this game, lol, but I'm super glad I found it!! Hello all. o7 Old Eve Online player here (2005-2013), Elite Dangerous, Freelancer, etc. I love a good space game! My ships are all named variations of the Eve ships, like my main battleship 'Dominix'. It took me about 2 hours of reading and playing around to get the basics, then I spent 60+ hours... Over the last 4 days building and doing as much as I can. This instantly became one of my all time favorites!! Question: one thing I'm struggling with - - I added an "auto turret control system" chip to my ship which gives me +10 turrets, but any turret I try to fit says it's the wrong type. I have checked many "auto targeting" turret and point defense types but can't find anything that works, and I can't find anything in the encyclopedia. What is an auto turret?? Is it point defense or a regular gun??

I just found Avorion... 4 days ago, and have found what is immediately one of my favorite all time space games. Old Eve Online, etc, player here. I decided to check out the community and multiplayer last night. I just found the 'US Tree' server in question because I loaded the server browser for the first time and it had the most people. The rules there are clear and easy to follow - - MIS-gendering someone intentionally is against the rules. This is simple to understand, and if someone's requested pronouns are THAT hard to respect, perhaps find another server? Being unable to respect what people wish to be called is a weird problem to have.
