I have found specific Equipment to be one of the most difficult things to get in the game, being that it is 100% random (either collected or Researched). In fact I spend over 17h just trying to get enough equipment to make 3 Legendary, just to waste them to make 1 nearly useless XSTN, just to get through the Barrier. I propose an Equipment FACTORY, just like the turret factories, but makes blueprints for Equipment. So I can get a specific piece of Equipment & just mass produce it for my fleets (or Research).

& also stop showing the 'target torpedo <R>' every time a pirate fires a torpedo, I don't want to target torpedoes, we have turrets specifically for that now, I want to target the next closest ENEMY. Or at least change it to a different key binding.

Twice I have had to restart a game in single player because the start sector for The Haathi quest was on the other side of the barrier.

Even if the current Icons remain but you are allowed to choose their colour, this would expand usage greatly.
