  1. I'd say up the playing space for the demo and give us the second resource to see what we do. Still gives us a taste but not so much of one we don't at some point go to the main version. I'd say between a 50% increase and a 100% increase in playing area (might be a tad overkill but it eliminates some of the "Just Out Of Reach" issues). As for the second resource thing it'd likely come with in some starting area going into 1 higher difficulty depending on spawn site but not sure on this one. Other than that I'm good. Only nagging issue is AI ships and shipyard ships are generated with no power source of any kind even solar-panels. O_o That said the taste we got not is good but it feels too "Cut Off". Not sure how else to describe it.

  3. At least bug fixes and a slightly bigger area to get lost in. Say double the current size when things go live? ;D
  4. hmm guessing a new demo version will be made after some update comes around by stripping out features from the new full version?
  5. lol why didn't you simply make the demo basically the full version but with a set of booleans in place to turn off the features not suppose to be in it? Would make it easier to maintain compatibility. That said it'd open the door to hackers turning the full version only stuff on. >_> Other than that little snag it'd make things easier to maintain so you don't maintain two games at the same time.
  6. Anyone got some working micro ships they want to show off? Ships made extremely small or as small as they can be but possibly as dangerous as their larger counterparts.
  7. Not sure if I'm just not seeing them or they aren't there in general. I've also noticed this with shipyard ships as well not just spawned ships. Maybe I'm just not seeing them or something but worth looking into.

    Clean-up script

    Not like you couldn't blow the cargo bays on the miner and steal it back. :P
  9. In the first one the ship was invisible from the start when I was working on it the other day. In the second screenshot I figure out I could spam blocks until it revealed itself and if it got below a certain block count maybe it vanished again. In the third I did the spamming again but even if blocks aren't placed it seems trying to place blocks but not being able to can also cause the ship to show up again. For ships it seems to happen most often under a certain size or number of blocks not totally sure. Also side noticed having the window any less than 1600 X 900 causes a large number of bad things to happen to the menus and such. In Windowed Mode the click locations are off and it doesn't fit. XD
  10. I'll try and get OBS up and running when able. Meantime I'll see if the bug will show up willingly in screenshots. Seems to happen a lot when the ships are over a certain mass but under a certain mass. Not sure of the range as of yet but the more blocks you have not of the default shape the more likely it is to happen from what I've noticed. I'll see if I can scare it into doing it again. :)
  11. These guys are faction specific Miners that come through and clean up the wreckage left behind in their faction's territories. They normally won't fire back at other ships and are focused more on avoiding weapons fire as able while doing their job. If a player doesn't mine up the wreckage after a period of time these miners will jump in and start work on that as able while trying to avoid ending up more wreckage. Normally miner fleets will be sent out from the home sector of a faction and will jump from sector to sector at the default range. If Miners are already in the sector they'll get to work once the usual lockout timers for loot are over. Normally you'll only see a number of miners based on how bad the wreckage fields are in a sector. 1 or 2 should be good for most jobs but there could be up to 10 to 15 for really bad ones like if a sector is constantly under attack or something.

    lol why not have AI miners go out and clean up the messes as able? :-\ So no one has to wright a script for it. ;D
  13. Don't have any recording software on hand to do that but I can take screenshots.
  14. Say one yesterday about pitted gun mounts but wasn't sure as to the block setup and how thick to make the blocks that form the pit. Also trying to figure out how to make a ship that won't fall apart when something looks at it funny. Meantime anyone have some useful tips to show off? Provide pictures if needed to show what you mean so we all know what you are talking about.
