Hi im playing on hardcore mode, lost a ship near the barrier. Have a reconstruction token for it but I cant figure out how to use it.

I understand the point of gathering reputation to get cheaper prices and better sales from equipment docs etc. But what is the point of fighting against other factions. I do occasionally see one faction warp in and blow up a station or 2 before getting wiped out. My only issue is I don't have a reason to wanna ally with anyone or go to war with anyone. It seems like the gameplay element is there but without motivation. I can't help but feel like I need to go to war and to kill my allies enemies. However I do not know who their enemies are. I just feel like there needs to be some kind of motivation.

Gotcha, another question. Is there a way to identify what size and class of ship I'm fighting. Knowing what your fighting helps to strategies how to win.

Oh, so do research closer to 0,0 to get better rolls. I might use the turrets factory to see what I can get never used it. Also I'll have to use a 4th upgrade for more turrets.

My ship has 10 upgrades, 1 10 slot and 2 7 slot so 24 armed slots. I can only effectively fight in the green to blue ore zone. Most the drops suck 50-80 dps average. I did some research and have 4 guns that do 150-200 dps. Need to squeeze more dps out.

So I'm about 2/3 to the middle. Finding my 1st bit of yellow ore. The enemy's are supper tanky my shields hold for about 3m. Forgot to look at what there firepower was but the nearby faction is at 27.6k. My firepower is 3.6k. I have a feeling my firepower is low. What I'd like to know, what is the best strategy(s) to getting my firepower up.

Hey, im a new player. just got into finding the green ore. I have lost 3 ships recently. What I need to know is;; How big of a ship should I be using, how many attack ships should I have at my side. and how big should they be too. I keep getting into 3v12 fights. Flag ships mass is 100kt and side ships are 40kt.
