I really wish I could give orders to my own ship. I want to tell my ship to jump 3 places and then go into management mode and tell my other ships and properties to do things.
Simply make it so a specific input (maybe forward/backwards?) cancels any commands issued to your own ship.

The problem with the suggestions/idea voting here is that people put in many suggestions into one thread and then because they ask for so much stuff the suggestions aren't broken out meaningfully. There are many, many different suggestions here that incorporate this one idea, but I didn't see one that just has this idea.
