  1. I already posted my problem on reddit, as I didn't know this forum exists. I'm just pasting it here now, in hope that this is a better/correct place to find help. Thanks in advance! I'm hosting an Avorion Server on a Dedicated Linux vServer (Ubuntu 18, 10Cores, 48GB RAM). In the server.ini of my Galaxy I have set several values, that seem to be ignored by the server. Most importantly the "aliveSectorsPerPlayer" that I initially set to 10 and later updated to 20, because I thought the machine is strong enough. Yet ingame we (4 people, all in one alliance) constantly get the following error message, even though (currently) we only have ships/stations in 7 sectors: "Sectors with your property aren't simulated: [...sectors coordinates...] Servers can only simulate a limited number of sectors. Sectors per player/alliance on this server: 6" What bothers me the most is that I can't remember to have ever set that value to 6. Facts given: I did restart the server as far as I understand it: /save -> /stop -> edit the server.ini -> start the server via startup script. The server.ini is the one located in the path of my galaxy, that I also give as a parameter in the startup script. Has anyone ever encoutnered that problem and do you have any ideas to solve that? Some other values are ignored, too.The Server description doesn't seem to update, for example and the server isn't listed so my friends can only connect via IP and there is no server password set, even though I configured one in the server.ini. The Name is set to the value in the server.ini though. EDIT with Solution: A guy on reddit had the solution. It's quite easy. I didn't recognize that the datapath has to point to one folder for all galaxies. Instead I assumed that you have to point to your Galaxy specifically. Therefore the server created another galaxy folder within my galaxy folder and the wrong server.ini was used... Works now. Can be closed :)
